Hi Neighbor!

Hello, Minooka! My name is Joshawa Stell, and I’m excited to be running for Village Trustee. I love living in Minooka, and I’m proud to call this wonderful community my home. I believe that our village has incredible potential, and I’m committed to helping it thrive while preserving the values that make it so special.

I’m the founder of CTRL-ALT-FIX, a local IT managed services company that I started here in Minooka, where I work to provide technology solutions that help businesses and individuals stay secure and connected. I earned my Master’s in Cybersecurity from WGU, where I learned the importance of safeguarding our community in a digital age and how critical it is to be proactive about potential threats.

Beyond my business, I’m dedicated to community involvement and fostering strong relationships among residents. I have great optimism for the future, bringing fresh perspectives, new ideas, and a drive for innovation. I’m passionate about supporting local businesses, supporting community safety and our police, and ensuring that Minooka is a place where everyone feels welcome and valued.

When I’m not working, you’ll often find me volunteering, flying planes, or spending time with my family and friends. I’m committed to giving back to the community that has given me so much.

My vision is For a Stellar Minooka, where we build on our strong foundation, embrace thoughtful growth, and create a bright future for all residents. I’m eager to listen to your concerns, represent your interests, and work with you to make Minooka even better. Together, we can achieve great things!

Master's in Cybersecurity & Information Asurance from Western Governors University.

Proud to support our police officers who keep Minooka safe.

Champion for local buisinesses and sustainable economic growth - not more warehouses and semis.

Advocate for transparency and accountability in local government.

An Independent Vision for Minooka.

In local elections, I believe that labels like Democrat or Republican shouldn’t define our approach to making our town a better place. My priority is to represent the interests of Minooka, and I don’t think party affiliation should drive decisions at the local level. What matters most is our community’s future, not national political divisions. Despite what’s happening 718 miles away in Washington, I know how important it is to understand one thing: We’re Neighbors.

We see each other at the grocery store, sitting down to eat, and at our community events. We share the same roads, parks, and community spaces. When it comes down to it, we all want what’s best for Minooka because it’s not just a place on a map—it’s our home. That’s why I’m running as someone who knows this town and its people. I believe that, as neighbors, we can come together to tackle the issues that matter most, regardless of politics. Our shared experiences and values will guide me as I work to represent you on the Village Board.

As an independent candidate, I’m focused on practical solutions that directly affect our quality of life—whether it’s supporting small businesses, improving infrastructure, or ensuring our village remains a safe and welcoming place for all. I want to work on solutions that are right for Minooka, not what fits into a larger political agenda.

While I may not fit perfectly into one party or another, I believe that’s a strength. It allows me to remain open-minded, to listen to everyone, and to make decisions based on what’s best for our town—not party lines. I’m committed to working with all residents to achieve meaningful progress for Minooka, and I hope to earn your trust based on my vision and actions, not just a label.
